Discount Hotels Las Vegas

If your looking for Discount Hotels in Las Vegas there are plenty to choose from. When we talk about discount we mean in the $50.00 to $90.00 range, below that a room would be classified as a Cheap Hotel. This doesn’t mean it’s a dump, this just means there aren’t as many amenities as other hotels offer.

Discounted Rooms

There is a big difference between discount hotels and discounted rooms. Many times you will see big strip hotels offering discounted rooms, this could mean a room at Ceasers Palace was going for $300.00 a night and now there discounting it to $250.00, this is a discounted room.

A discount hotel regularly offers rooms at a much lower rate, as mentioned they may not have a casino, or spa, or food court, this is the trade off for lower room rates. One might consider a Super 8 Motel or Motel 6 in the cheap room category where as Palace Station or Gold Coast would better fit into the discount hotel category.

Downtown Las Vegas

If you don’t mind older hotels then downtown Las Vegas will offer many more choices in a compact setting.  Not to many of these old structures have been upgraded, they still have the flavor of Vegas 20 years ago. The strip hotels obviously attract the most attention, that’s why you will find more discount hotels downtown.

If you have transportation, or you don’t mind taking the local tram, it’s only a few miles to the main strip from downtown. Downtown has all the amenities that a strip hotels has with the exception of newness.

One thing that does differ if it’s a concern to you is ventilation. The newer casinos have newer equipment, ventilation for smoke is better and the air conditioning is too. This stands true for the rooms, from my observation some of the downtown hotels look as though the room a/c’s are the originals.

Save Money

You will definitely save money with a discount hotel, I wouldn’t go strictly by a picture to choose one. If you come here and are thinking about it for your next trip, ask to see the room, the worse they can say is no, right?
